DAE think stock Wear as-is is very poorly suited to long-form text messages?
2:41 PMThis is going to turn into a bit of a rant, it's something I've been thinking about for awhile. So, tl;dr: Wear needs to incorporate features of the Google Keyboard to make big improvements to texting
Whenever I try to send a text that's more than a short statement or two ("I'm fine, how are you?", "On my way now", etc.) I inevitably get too anxious and end up reaching for my phone. When trying to feed the watch these long statements, I feel like I'm performing a monologue that I have to completely nail, no stumbling or mistakes, or my acting teacher is going to fail me. Even if I don't get words that sound similar being swapped, the smallest stutter can often cause it to type unintelligible stings.
My biggest frustration with this is that the Google Keyboard app has some simple functionality to account for this exact problem. When it hears words that it may have gotten wrong, it underlines them and allows you to tap on them for alternatives. As I see it, Wear would become much more text friendly if after dictating a text, you could tap and change any words it may have misheard, and delete any extra characters. This, and a pause longer than 3 seconds would be nice. Considering I bought my M360 almost exclusively for texting, I find myself using it far less than I anticipated.
