Persistent Bluetooth issues make me want to leave wear.

2:10 AM

I had a Note 3, bluetooth was working great with KitKat. I use it in my car daily and all was dandy (for calls).

I got a Galaxy Gear Live. It would work great, however, I noticed when I would have it in the car with Bluetooth connected to the car and watch, the audio for calls through car would be significantly degraded with crackling and the Bluetooth becoming disconnected.

I upgraded the Note 3 to Lollipop...this made things worse. The watch would become disconnected and would refuse to connect again. A phone restart or watch restart is required to reconnect the devices to each other.

I recently purchased a Note 4, these issues have persisted with the Note 4, with dropouts in the car and the watch not connecting. The Note 4 is on KitKat.

Both the Note 3 and 4 have been stock Touchwiz devices, unrooted.

I feel that I can't continue to use wear in my life, and I find that extremely disappointing. I don't know which device is screwing with the other...is it the Gear? Is it Android on the phones? Is it samsung in general? Or is it something else that I'm doing wrong?

Any general feedback, suggestions or opinions would be great.
