(Using a Moto 360)

My watch will vibrate when I get a notification (which I like), but it will light up the screen even if I'm not looking at it (which I don't like - battery waster).

I'm part of a work group conversation thread, so I'm guessing the latter feature will murder battery life. I only want the screen to light up when I turn my wrist to look at it. Is there any way this is possible?
